The Story Behind Our Candles
We started making candles when the original owners were following the Grateful Dead around California. After concerts, the guys would collect empty tuna cans, clean them out and pour a white wax with wick into them. The candles would later be sold to concert goers.
Well, the tuna can candles are long gone but the hand pouring remains. Pouring the wax by hand into the candle and votive molds -without any mass manufacturing - improves the quality of the candles. As a result, there is less bubble formation, less wax cracking, improved scent and burn time. Hand pouring is the old fashioned New England way to make candles.
We offer over 40 scents, including our new Watermelon, Lavender and Cranberry. After a passing a rigorous quality assurance process, our candles were recently selected by QVC, the national cable shopping channel, for sale. You won't find a better candle anywhere!
